YOUR CARLINK ID, READY TO GO
From package
to first scan.
Your sticker has arrived. Follow these five steps to activate it, connect your alerts, and place it on your car.

Two pieces. Keep them separate.
Find your CarLink ID sticker and the private activation slip inside the package. The QR belongs on your car; the code does not.
Keep the activation code private. Never stick or photograph it on the car.
Scan your QR
Open your ID with your phone camera.
Scan the QR on the sticker. On its page, choose “Activate this sticker.” This takes you to the owner activation form with the QR link already filled in.
A QR scan by itself does not activate the sticker.
Claim your ID
Sign in. Enter your private code.
Sign in to your CarLink account and enter the code from the separate slip. If you did not arrive by scanning, you can also paste the sticker’s QR link on the activation page.
The QR link and private activation code are different. You need both to claim the ID.

Make sure messages can reach you.
In your account, open Connected devices, allow notifications and tap the test alert to verify at least one device. Visitor notes are unavailable until a device is verified.
On iPhone, add CarLink to your Home Screen and open it there before enabling alerts.

Put it where it can be scanned.
Choose a visible spot on clean, dry windshield glass that does not block your view. Check the supplied sticker’s mounting side, apply it carefully, then scan from outside with another phone to confirm it opens.
Do a quick scan test before pressing the sticker into its final position.
